Getting Started
BinaryTV is a cloud-based digital signage platform that lets you display videos, images, and content on any TV or screen. Here's how it works:
- Upload Content: Add your videos and images to your media library
- Create Playlists: Organize content into playlists with custom durations
- Connect Devices: Install our app on Fire TV, Android TV, or any Android device
- Schedule & Display: Set schedules or play content 24/7 on your screens
Creating an account is quick and easy:
- Click Sign Up on the homepage
- Enter your name, email, and create a password
- Or use Sign in with Google for one-click registration
- You'll get a 14-day free trial with full access to all features
BinaryTV works with a wide range of devices:
- Amazon Fire TV Stick - All generations (Lite, 4K, 4K Max)
- Fire TV Cube - All versions
- Android TV - Smart TVs with built-in Android TV
- Google TV - Chromecast with Google TV and compatible devices
- Android Tablets/Phones - Any Android 7.0+ device
- Android TV Boxes - NVIDIA Shield, Xiaomi Mi Box, etc.
For Fire TV:
- Search for "BinaryTV" or "GLO TV" in the Amazon App Store
- Or sideload the APK using the Downloader app
- Search in the Google Play Store for "BinaryTV"
- Or sideload using a file manager app
- Open the app and note the 6-digit pairing code
- In your dashboard, go to Devices → Add Device
- Enter the pairing code and give your device a name
- Done! Your device is now connected
Devices & Screens
- Install the BinaryTV app on your Fire TV or Android device
- Launch the app - you'll see a 6-digit pairing code on screen
- Log into your BinaryTV dashboard
- Navigate to Screens → Devices
- Click Add Device
- Enter the pairing code and a friendly name (e.g., "Lobby TV")
- Click Register Device
If your device shows offline status, try these steps:
- Check internet connection: Ensure the device is connected to WiFi
- Restart the app: Force close and reopen the BinaryTV app
- Restart the device: Unplug, wait 30 seconds, and plug back in
- Check firewall: Ensure your network allows outbound HTTPS connections
- Re-pair if needed: Delete the device from dashboard and pair again
Yes! BinaryTV is designed for multi-screen deployments:
- Starter Plan: Up to 3 devices
- Professional Plan: Up to 10 devices
- Enterprise Plan: Up to 50 devices
There are two ways to assign content to devices:

- Click the Edit button on your device
- Select a playlist from the dropdown
- Save changes - content updates instantly!
- Go to Screens → Schedules
- Create a schedule with specific days/times
- Assign playlists to time slots
- Link the schedule to your device

Creating playlists is simple:
- First, upload your media in Content → Media Library
- Go to Content → Playlists
- Click Create Playlist
- Give your playlist a name
- Click Add Media to select items from your library
- Set the duration for each image (videos play full length)
- Drag items to reorder them
- Save your playlist
- Videos: Up to 2GB per file
- Images: Up to 50MB per file
- Starter: 5GB total storage
- Professional: 20GB total storage
- Enterprise: 100GB total storage
Content updates are nearly instant! Here's the typical timeline:
- Playlist assignment: 5-30 seconds
- New media in existing playlist: Updates on next playlist loop
- Schedule changes: Take effect at next scheduled time
Scheduling
Schedules let you automate what plays and when:
- Day-based: Different content for different days of the week
- Time-based: Morning content, afternoon content, evening content
- Date-based: Special content for holidays or events
- Breakfast menu: 6am - 11am
- Lunch specials: 11am - 3pm
- Dinner menu: 3pm - 10pm
- Closed message: 10pm - 6am
Absolutely! Each device can have its own schedule or share schedules with other devices.

If there's no active schedule for a time period, the device will:
- Play the default playlist assigned to the device

Yes! BinaryTV caches content locally on each device:
- Content is downloaded when first assigned
- Playback continues even if internet is disconnected
- Device will sync updates when connection is restored
To secure your account with 2FA:
- Go to Account → Profile
- Scroll to Two-Factor Authentication
- Click Enable 2FA
- Scan the QR code with an authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, Authy, etc.)
- Enter the 6-digit code to verify
- Save your backup codes in a secure location
If videos aren't playing smoothly, try these troubleshooting steps:

Use a tool like HandBrake to convert to MP4/H.264 format for best compatibility.

- Enter their email address
